Artistic Director Korhan Basaran and Company RAu are excited to announce “The Core Method” dance and theater Workshop in partnership with New York City’s Peridance Center

Two-day pre-professional dance workshop, July 30th & 31st, at Istanbul’s Zorlu Center.

• Additional Master Classes for professional dancers and actors ages 18+ 

The information which we ingest and nurture as dancers, choreographers, and teaching artists, forms a unique vocabulary and sense of movement. This knowledge includes an understanding of all previous information that’s available to us. It is your job as an artist to learn how to transform that into your own genuine and personal vocabulary, while continuously responding to the moment and energy all around us. When building up our Core Method Technique, we invite the body to take risks, even within the simplest of exercises, therefore activating and challenging the brain as well as the body. The dancer is always aware, connected to one’s self and surroundings, and fearlessly pushing their limits. Understanding the core, just like getting to know the spirit, will create authenticity and uniqueness from within.

Group 1: 9:00 – 12:30, on the 30th and 31st of July

Two-day pre-professional workshop for ages 12-16 consisting of warm-up, center combinations, improvisation, and choreographic work. 

Partial Scholarship offered for Perridance’s 2022 Global Summer Dance Program in NYC.

Group 2: 13:30 – 17:00, on the 30th and 31st of July

Two-day pre-professional workshop for ages 16-25 consisting of warm-up, center combinations, improvisation, and choreographic work. 

Full scholarship offered for Perridance’s online summer workshop, “Blueprint”. Special recommendations will be made for Paridance’s certificate program – scholarships available. 

Professional Actor’s Masterclass: July 30th, from 18:00 – 20:30

One-day professional level masterclass for actors 18+ that focuses on body awareness, technical base, and accessing the physical (corporal) performance tools.

Professional Dancer’s Masterclass: July 31st, from 18:00 – 20:30 

One-day professional level masterclass featuring advanced Company RAu Dace technique class, and a repertory workshop. Special recommendations will be made for Paridance’s certificate program.

Limited scholarships are available for low-income students to attend “The Core Method” workshops. Please send an explanatory email to info@companyrau.com

Korhan Basaran direktorlugundeki Company RAu, uluslararasi kadrosuyla, New York’un unlu dans merkezi Peridance’le birlikte – The Core Method – atölye calismasini ZORLU PSM SKY Lounge’da sunmaktan mutluluk duyar. 

“Dünyanın farklı ülkelerinde yıllardır sanatını surduren, tecrubeli, çok yönlü ve üretken bir sanatçı kadrosuyla bu eşsiz dans  atölye calismasini Turkiye’nin genc danscilariyla paylaşabilmek ekibimiz icin çok degerli. Sahne uzerine, bir sürü ülkede sergilenen çok önemli eserler uretmis, birçok degerli koreografla calismis ve yıllardır eğitmenlik yapan donanımlı ekibimizin, tecrubelerini birebir aktaracaklari bu iki günlük yogunlastirilmis calışmada, katilimcilarin özlerine dönüp, kendilerine ait farklı  renkleri, kaliteleri de ortaya cikarmalarina yardimci olucak.  Danscilarin kendi bedenlerini daha iyi tanımalarıni hedeflerken, bilgi ve donanimlarini geliştirici teknik calisma, dogaclama, koreografik unsurlar ve virtüoziteye odaklanan iki gunluk bu yogun calismada, bir yıldır stüdyolardan uzak, bilgisayar basında dans etmek zorunda kalan danscilarin, ZorluPSM’nin bol isikli, hijyenik ve havadar alanında yeniden buluşup birlikte nefes alabilemeleri de donusturucu bir tecrübe olucak. Cesitli yas aralıkları ve tecrübeyi hedeflediğimiz farklı programlarla ilgili bilgileri‘de bulabilirsiniz.
